Child Health Research Institute™ - CureKids™
CureKids™ is a national children’s charity based upon an operating model of nonprofit venture philanthropy leveraging innovative tools for charitable giving to transform research, development and commercialization efforts for life threatening diseases and disorders of children through social investments to universities, entrepreneurs and organizations that have the power to catalyze and change how healthcare impacts the diseases and disorders affecting children.
Its social investments are designed to make a significant systemic impact in some of the nation's most difficult diseases and disorders. CureKids roots were firmly established more than 30 years ago to address the lack of research, development and commercialization of science and technologies into life-threatening childhood Illnesses in New Zealand. Since then, the organization has invested more than $30 million. This unique approach has helped save hundreds of young lives and has improved the quality of life for thousands of children around the world. Its unique organizational mission is based upon an operating model of
venture philanthropy and nonprofit investment in science and technology-based solutions in the areas of healthcare, life sciences, information technologies and education to eradicate disorders and diseases in children. Because of this past success and the need to expand this model of focused
and successful giving, CureKids USA™ has been setup under the 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the US to carry on this important mission of finding answers and cures for diseases and disorders of children in the US as well as around the world.
